1. Choosing the Right Chair
The child should be able to sit comfortably with their feet flat on the floor, and knees bent at a 90 degree angle. If the child’s feet do not touch the floor the chair is too tall.
2. Determine Table Height by Chair Height
The distance between the seat of the chair and the under edge of the table should be 7 inches minimum.
3. Flexible Seating
Flexible seating allows students to find an effective and comfortable seat. Depending on the product, seat rigidity will vary. This can affect recommendations regarding seat height to table height.
